Murphys, California —
The 2007 Ironstone Concours d’ Elegance “Celebration of
Automotive History” was an unqualified
success among those attendees at the 11th fundraiser supporting
4H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) youth education programs. “It was
raining cats and dogs before we opened the gates but then the sun came out,
the classic car owners broke out their towels and we had a wonderful day
despite the surprising weather and lack of electric power. The silent
auction was moved inside the Music Room the night before and our guest dined
by candlelight during the luncheon. We really appreciated the die hard car
owners, the participants from the 4H and FFA, and all those who came out to
see these wonderful weatherproof design vehicles of these classic vehicles”
said Gail Kautz, Ironstone Concours Foundation chair and spokesperson.
Guests were served Tri tip filet steaks cooked on an open oak fired
barbeque after the power went out. KCRA Anchors Dave Walker and Lois Hart
acted as Masters of Ceremonies for the 2007 Concours and spent the day
looking at cars and meeting car owners.

Fair, Friends of the Fair Scholarship Program, and the Calaveras County Fair
Scholarship Program. Additionally in 2005, the Concours Foundation

The 2007 Concours d’

for funds brought in but was a record breaking year for fun and activities
