Dear Friends,
We are looking forward to a wonderful 12th Annual Ironstone Concours d' Elegance on September 27th,
2008 featured cars:  Lincoln Continentals from 1940-1960.  Also featuring cars from the Bill Harrah's collection
.

This year we will have special classes for Mitchell Automobiles and Franklin Automobiles as well as a special class for American Dream Convertibles built between 1953 and 1961. This is to include the special, low production offerings such as the 1953 to 1956 Packard Caribbean, 1953-1961 Cadillac Eldorado, Chrysler 300, 1953-1954 Buick Skylark, and 1953 Oldsmobile Fiesta. This will be in addition to our usual lineup of classes and vintage trailers.

As in recent years, our judging process will be as follows: rather than awarding 1-2-3 in each class, our judges will be asked to designate a percentage of the cars in each class to receive a ribbon indicating an "Award of Merit," and from that group to pick a "Best of Class." As has been our custom, in addition to our usual overall awards and several new overall awards, the "Best of Class" vehicles will parade over the stage. We feel this change is consistent with our determination to keep Ironstone a fun, relaxing and elegant event...more reminiscent of the Concours d' Elegance of the 1930s where a car was judged for its overall elegance and style rather than for its minutely detailed physical perfection.

Entry deadline is September 5, 2008.  The show field will be available for car placement starting at 10am Friday come early and place your car to avoid the Saturday morning rush.  All entered vehicles must be in their assigned space no later than 9:30am on Saturday.

Remember, only stock non-modified cars are accepted at Ironstone.
We also love un-restored or maintained vehicles. We also invite you to attend the welcome wine tasting reception and dinner on Friday night and the Gala Luncheon on Saturday, which are wonderful events, and so important to our efforts to raise funds for our worthy beneficiaries.
